Dorothy Dean

In addition to appearing in Restaurant, Afternoon, Space, Camp and My Hustler, Dorothy Dean was the door person at Max's Kansas City. Known for her acerbic wit - she was referred to as "the black Dorothy Parker" - she moved to Colorado in 1980 where she eventually joined Alcoholics Anonymous. She died of cancer on Friday, February 13, 1987 at the Hospice of St. John in Lakewood, Colorado.
