Children's Mass and Holly Woodlawn

The premiere of Children's Mass was covered in the Small Talk section of the July 1973 issue of Interview magazine. Sal Mineo's mother "thought the play 'showed the life today and is meant to be a lesson for to the kids of today not to get too involved in this way of life'...Also at the premiere: Brooks and Adriana Jackson of the Iolas Gallery; Jill and Gino Perserchio (she's the Fuller Brush heiress); Peter Brown, President of Stigwood Productions in America; the uniquitous Sam Green; Broken Goddess Holly Woodlawnn who did not seem to mind the fact that the play was partially based on her life. 'This play is absoutely flawless. It makes me a legend in my own time. I feel like Marilyn tonight,' said Holly, sliding into a friend's Thunderbird on her way to a downtown dancehall." (IJY45)
