back to FEB. 1976: ANDY WARHOL DOES EXPOSURES
Bob Colacello:
"Andy made an important purchase in Bonn: The new Minox 35EL was the smallest camera then available that took full-frame 35mm photographs... and it had a sleek, all black, James Bond look. I bought one too, and we both took the same picture back at the Hotel Bristol: a room-service still life. As I recall, Itook mine seconds before Andy took his." (BC330)
After Bonn, Andy Warhol and Colacello went to Naples for a small show of selected works by Andy Warhol at the Lucio Amelio Gallery.
Bob Colacello:
"In Naples... one afternoon, as we took matching photos of the Bay of Naples, Andy said, 'We should do a photography book together, Bob.We've got to take photographs whereever we go from now on. It's work now, Bob.' That's how our next book, Andy Warhol's Exposures, started." (BC331)
Andy Warhol's Exposures was published in 1979. (See November 1979)
