After cleaning up from drugs and alcohol during the '80s Brigid Berlin relapsed in about 2006 on a glass of wine and went into rehab at CARON (Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Recovery for Life) in Pennsylvania on 26 August 2007 and Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut in 2008, according to an interview in the June - July 2008 issue of Interview magazine. She is currently clean and sober and lives in New York with her pugs, spending much of her time creating needlepoint art cushions based on tabloid headlines.
