back to ca. JANUARY 1975: HALSTON HAS A PARTY FOR VICTOR HUGO

Halston's Party for Victor Hugo

From the February 1975 issue of Interview magazine:

"After standing in the rain to watch Victor Hugo live it up in his Madison Avenue conceptual glasshouse, the very exclusive (and we do mean Exclusive!) Manhattan Set scurried their steps or hurried their limousines to Halson's private party for Victor - even the Macaw and the white doves posed splendidly in the aviary. Prince Egon von un zud Furstenberg arrived late from work and headed for the upper level balcony which became the royal observatory for Egon, Diane and Egon's latest beauty Pat Amari. Donna Jordan [L'Amour] spoke about Toscani across the oceans of the world, while Pat Ast [Heat] in moss green cashmere caftan and cap the breadth of the Grand Canal flirted with the air with one of her fans... Sylvia Miles [Heat] told Halston she had to have a personal tour, by the tastemaker himself, of his ultra-moderne triplex. Jackie Curtis seemed quite incognito dressed as a casually elegant Ivy League male." (IFB45)
