FACTORY PEOPLE

Interviews for the upcoming French produced documentary, Factory People, took place this week at New York City’s Integrated Studios (http://www.isnyc.com/), located in Tribeca. Photographs from the sessions appear here for the first time. The first major documentary on the Warhol era since the release of Andy Warhol: The Complete Picture in 2002, Factory People will be broadcast on French television in autumn 2005. A co-production of PGE / Zarafa Films (Paris, France) and France Television Channel-4, American film production of the documentary is being facilitated by the New York based company, All Day Buffet (www.adbindustrialfilms.com). Directed by Yves Billon, this film is being produced by Patrick Nagle from a screenplay by Emmy award-winner Catherine O' Sullivan Shorr. Make-up by Berta Camal for Jed Root and hair styling by Moiz Alladina for Kramer & Kramer (http://www.kramerkramer.com/). Additional interviews will also be conducted at the Shoreham Hotel (http://shorehamhotel.com) in New York.

NIGHT: THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF ANTON PERICH

Anton PerichPixlife.com is presenting an exhibition of the photographs of Anton Perich at BLVD in New York from June 2 - July 2, 2005. Steve Paul is curating the exhibit which will feature photographs from the 1970s to the present.

Perich was a contributing photographer to Interview magazine and many of his photographs were featured in Yvonne Sewall Ruskin's book, High on Rebellion: Inside the Underground at Max's Kansas City. In addition to his photography, Perich also works in other media. In 1979, the Tony Shafrazi gallery exhibited his first show of electric paintings and his videos are currently being shown every Tuesday night on Chanel 57.

The opening party will take place on the evening of June 2, 2005 and will feature a collage of his video work, including footage of Tinkerbell interviewing Salvador Dali. A limited edition of the second issue of Anton's magazine, Night, will be available at the party and any remaining copies will be sold to the gallery patrons on a first come first serve basis. Anton's son, Tristan Perich, will also be performing at the party. Tristan is a musician/composer who performed as the opening act for FischerSpooner at the Canal Room in New York recently.

Pixlife.com is an online magazine produced by Steve Paul. The second issue - "Downtown after Dark" - will be launched on the same day of the opening and will include not only the work of Anton Perich but other noted artists including:  John Cohen, Lisette Model, Jessie Tarbox Beals, Kate Simon, Marcia Resnick, Stephanie Chernikowski, Godlis, Glenn O’Brien, Danny Fields, Roberta Bayley, Leee Black Childers, Brian Graham, Bobby Grossman, Bob Gruen, Billy Name, Ebet Roberts and others to be announced.
